An upright deciduous or evergreen very hardy shrub with leathery dark green leaves. Clusters of large fragrant white flowers. flushed with purple-pink. followed by fleshy blackish purple fruit. Height 2-4m. Spread 1.5m. Flowers from January to February. Fruits from March Deciduous. CAUTION toxic if eaten.
Delicate pink flowers, nearly double the size of Daphne odora blooms, and with the same powerful fragrance. Although slow-growing, this compact shrub is worth the wait as the stems become clothed in flowers throughout March and April, amongst large, glossy green leaves.
