Tender, upright, bushy, woody-based perennial. Often grown as an annual. Oblong to ovate, toothed, aromatic, dark green leaves and dark stems. Open racemes of tubular, pink flowers from midsummer into autumn.
Long stems with dark blue flowers, they can be planted in the plant border but also can be used as a pot plant. The spikes of blue violet appear all summer.
An annual ideal for bedding and tubs reaching 30cm with red flowers. Flowers best in full sun. Spikes June to October.
