Winged Spindle. A very dense shrub with dark green leaves turning brilliant red in autumn. Stems have corky wings. Almost round reddish purple fruit opening to orange seeds. Flower colour Green. Flowers from April to June. Height 2-3m. Fruit colour Red. Purple. Deciduous. Harmful if eaten.
