Coppery red foliage when young which turns a dark forest green before adopting hues of yellow/bronze in the autumn. Both the flowers and fruit produced by this are a deep, purple wine (almost red) colour. Flowers from April and followed by the small purple crabs. Popular amongst wildlife.
