This spreading, deciduous shrub has delicate willow-like leaves which are dark-green above and silvery underneath. In summer, small flowers cover the shrub, followed by yellow fruit in autumn. It is tolerant of most soil conditions, but it will suffer if planted in shallow, chalky soils.
